Replace Your Google business.site Website in Kuwait

Google switched off business.site in 2024. If your listing still links to it, customers who tap Website see an error. We build the replacement on your own domain and connect it back to Google.

What you get

  • Your own domain

    Registered in your name

  • Linked to Google

    Profile, Maps, Search

  • Arabic + English

    Both done properly

  • One tap

    Call, WhatsApp, directions

What happened

Google business.site websites were shut down in 2024

Google shut down business.site, the free websites built from Google Business Profiles, on 1 March 2024, and the addresses stopped working entirely on 10 June 2024. Businesses that relied on one need a website on their own domain, linked back to their Business Profile so the listing's website button works again.

If your Google listing still points to a business.site address, every customer who taps Website lands on an error page. We build the replacement on a domain registered in your name, carry over what your listing already shows, and connect it back to your Business Profile so Google, Maps and your customers all point to the same place.

  1. Until early 2024

Google offered a free one-page website, at a business.site address, built from each Business Profile.

  2. 1 March 2024

The websites were switched off. Visitors were redirected to the business's Google listing instead.

  3. 10 June 2024

The redirects ended. Every business.site address now shows a page-not-found error.

  4. Today

Listings that still link to business.site send customers who tap Website to that error.

Why it matters

A dead website link on your Google listing costs you customers

Your Business Profile is often the first thing a customer in Kuwait sees: on Maps, on a phone, while deciding where to go. A broken link there is a broken first impression.

Customers hit an error

Anyone who taps Website to check your services, prices or photos lands on a page-not-found error and goes back to the next result.

Trust drops

A business whose website does not open looks closed or careless, even when the shop is open and busy.

Nothing of your own

Without a site on your own domain, everything about the business online lives on platforms you do not control.

What we build

What replaces a business.site website in Kuwait

Start with what you need now. Each option grows into the next without being rebuilt.

One-page profile

The direct replacement: who you are, what you offer, your hours, location and photos, with call, WhatsApp and directions buttons. Arabic and English.

Suits: Shops, salons, clinics and service businesses that mostly need to be found and contacted.

Full company website

Separate pages for each service or branch, an about page, and content written for the searches your customers make, so the site can rank in its own right.

Suits: Businesses competing for searches like "best clinic in Salmiya", not only for their own name.

Bookings and menus

Online booking, a menu or price list, or a WhatsApp booking flow, linked from the Book or Menu button on your Business Profile where your category supports it.

Suits: Restaurants, salons, clinics and anyone taking appointments.

Online store

Products, KNET and card payments, and delivery by area and block, for businesses that want the website to take orders and not just enquiries.

Suits: Retailers selling through Instagram or WhatsApp today.

  • Domain registered in the business's own name
  • Arabic and English, right-to-left done properly
  • Business Profile website and booking links updated
  • Matching name, address and phone across site and listing
  • LocalBusiness structured data and Search Console setup
  • Call, WhatsApp and Google Maps directions on every page

How we implement it

How we replace it and reconnect it to your Google Business Profile

Five steps, from checking who owns your listing to keeping the site and the listing in step afterwards.

  1. 01

Check the listing and who owns it

We look at your Business Profile, confirm who has owner access, and check whether a domain was ever registered for the business and by whom.

  2. 02

Secure the domain in your name

A .com or .com.kw domain registered to the business, not to us, with business email on it if you want it.

  3. 03

Build from what Google already shows

Your listing's description, services, photos and hours are the starting point, rewritten for both languages and reviewed on your own phone before launch.

  4. 04

    Reconnect it to Google

The website link on your Business Profile switched to the new address, booking or menu links added, name, address and phone matched exactly, LocalBusiness structured data added and the site submitted in Search Console.

  5. 05

    Keep it current

Hosting, updates and changes handled, so a new branch, new hours or a new service appear on the site and the listing together.

Locked out?

When a previous provider still holds your listing or domain

Many Kuwaiti businesses had their Google listing, business.site page or domain set up by someone else: a marketing agency, a freelancer, a relative. When that person moves on, the business can no longer change its own website link.

We help you get it back. Google has an ownership request process for Business Profiles and registrars have transfer procedures. We file the requests with you, follow them through, and make sure everything ends up registered to the business.

Facial Lounge · Case study

A Kuwait beauty lounge locked out of its own domain by a provider who walked away

The lounge now owns its domain and its website outright. Its full price list is published and indexable in both languages, and visitors can book directly over WhatsApp instead of reaching a site nobody could update. We filed the request to transfer the Google Business Profile back to the lounge and are seeing it through, and we continue to support and maintain the site.

Delivered through UltraTech Kuwait, our exclusive partner, which contracted the project and is credited as developer on the live site.

Answers

Replacing a business.site website: the details

Cost, timing, domains and reconnecting your Google listing.

What happened to my business.site website?

Google retired the websites it used to build from Business Profiles. From 1 March 2024, business.site and negocio.site addresses redirected to the business's Google listing, and from 10 June 2024 they stopped working altogether and show a page-not-found error. The Business Profile itself was not affected, only the free website attached to it.

Can my old business.site website be switched back on?

No. Google has closed the service, so the old address cannot be restored and there is nothing to migrate it to. The practical route is a new website on your own domain. Your Business Profile still holds your description, photos, hours and services, and we use those as the starting point so the new site matches what customers already see.

How much does a replacement website cost in Kuwait?

A replacement for a business.site page is usually a compact company profile site, which starts from KD 300. A larger site with more pages, a booking system or an online store costs more, and is quoted after we have seen what the business needs. The price is fixed and written down before any work begins.

How long does it take to replace a business.site website?

A compact profile site typically takes 2–4 weeks from the first conversation to launch. Most of that time depends on how quickly photos, wording and approvals arrive rather than on the build itself. Updating the website link on your Business Profile takes minutes once the new site is live.

Do I need my own domain name?

Yes, and it should be registered in the business's name, not the developer's. Losing the business.site address showed what happens when the address belongs to someone else. A .com or .com.kw domain in your own name means the address stays with the business whatever happens to any platform or provider.

How is the new website connected to my Google Business Profile?

We replace the website link on your Business Profile with the new address, update booking or menu links where your category supports them, and make sure the business name, address and phone on the site match the listing exactly. We also add LocalBusiness structured data and submit the site through Google Search Console.

What if we no longer have access to our Business Profile or domain?

It is common, usually because a previous provider set them up under their own account. Google has an ownership request process for Business Profiles, and domain registrars have transfer procedures. We file the requests with you and follow them through, as we are doing for a Kuwait beauty lounge whose former provider left without handing anything over.

Will a new website help my business appear on Google Maps?

It helps, but nobody can honestly promise a position. A working website that matches your listing is one of the signals Google uses for local results, alongside your reviews, category, photos and how close the searcher is. A broken website link is a weak signal, so replacing it removes a problem rather than guaranteeing a ranking.
